Alternate address at one time was 5939 N. High. Said to have been built by Elias Lewis in 1806, site of Vianney House.This was the first site of Kenyon College. The Chaseland subdivision land was purchased by Chase from Preserver Leonard on 6/10/1817. 150 acres.Mrs. Chase died 5/5/1818. he sold it to Chester Pinney on 9/13/1832.House later called Kenyon Brook and was owned in 1925 by Lora M. Charlton., when E S Albaugh began subdividing the estate.Henry Clay visited here.
