Plans are being made for a
great rally day congregation at
Piketon Methodist church next
Sunday. Members of tbe cburch
have been busy visiting their
neighbors and friends ln tho
interest of better cburch attendance in thc community,
which is in keeping wltb the
Crusade for Christ emphasis
this year.
Since Aug. 6, -when work
began, the church has been
subjected to a' program of
renovation. Among the things
accomplished thus far ore: the
. installation of a ncw furnace;
numerous minor repairs inside
and out; paper removed from
thc walls, and paint from tbe ]
woodwork of thc sanctuary: the
entire sanctuary beautifully'
decorated in pastel shades of
cream and "'aquamarine with
mahogany woodwork; redecor-
ation of vestibules, stairways.
and basement; new choir lights;
and all new maroon and ivory
carpet for thc pulpit ond the
aisles. The roof and windows
arc still to bc painted, which
work has been ordered by the
official board.
