Due to a proposed cut in the
appropriation ot (unds Ior the
Farmers' Home Administration
for the next fiscal yesr, several

it wat announced here today.
The _bove Information was released to the press by Elmer K.
Shoemaker. Pike county supervisor, in charge of tha local office, ,
FKA offices effected by the e-
-lict wiU be the district offlce st
Gallipolis, servicing Gallia, Meigs
and Jackson counties; the lronton
office which service* Lawrence
and Scioto counties; snd the Chlllicothe offlce for Ross county.
All three FHA offlce* sre
scheduled to be closed on Friday,
June 2Tth, Mr. Shoemaker told
the press.
With the closing of the above
mentioned offlce*, the responsibility of serving these counties
■will be assumed by the Pike
county supervisor, from his offlce
In tha court houte ln Waverly.
This wjll place a total of six
counUes under the jurisdiction of
the locsl supervisor.
The action was found neces-
asry by the government ss Uie
appropriation fund* were slashed
by action of the House seversl
