Description
A view of the Logan Elm tree under which Chief Logan of the Cayuga tribe is said to have delivered an eloquent speech on relations between American Indians and early Ohio settlers in 1774 . The tree died in 1964 , but its former location is marked by a plaque in the state memorial that was established in 1912 . It is located on Ohio Route 361 , about five miles south of Circleville , Ohio . This photograph was taken by Clifton James Warren , a resident of Clinton County , Ohio .
