Picrson, right, Cleveland manufacturer and drug store owner, jho came to extend the new congressman greetings. While in Wash-Ington last week Mr.' Picrson conferred with Vice-President Henry A. Wallace, who, it is believed, is scheduled to become Secretary of Commerce. At left is Emmctt S. Cunningham, president, National Council of Negro Democrats, and a Detroit political leader. PRESIDENT Charlcs Lesley, Wilbcrforcc, receives a fifty dollar ( donation from Miss Muriel Rahn, former star of the Carmen Jones" stage production, to be applied on a scholarship fund for a white youth to attend Wilbcrforcc. Miss Rahn says that this is one gift of which she is exceptionally proud because it is to be used for the development of true Americanism in education. First contribution to the fund, twenty-five dollars, came from W. U.
