The History Collection at Southwest Public Libraries (SPL) documents the social, cultural, political, religious, military, medical, industrial, and technological history (as well as the daily lives) of the people of southwest Franklin County, Ohio. “From Attics to Archives” is part of that larger local history collection. It began as a joint project with the Southwest Franklin County Historical Society (SWFCHS), the City of Grove City, the Grove City Area Convention and Visitors’ Bureau, and Grove City Town Center, Inc. It is curated by the Reference and Adult Services Department of the Grove City Library.
The collection is large and thus only a portion of “From Attics to Archives” will be available online. SPL chooses items on the basis of community and historical interest. New images will be continually added.
